Separating a Salt Water Solution.

Problem: How to Separate a Salt Water Solution    First,  we put 50ml of water and one scoop of salt into a cup. The salt dissolved into the water creating a salt water solution.
To separate the salt from the water, first we tried using coffee filters and screens, but none of them worked. Then we found the answer. To separate the salt, we took a small sample of the salt water solution and put it into a petri dish. We knew that if even though we couldn't see it, there was salt in the water, and if the water evaporated, the salt would stay because salt doesn't evaporate. We put the petri dish on a windowsill where there was sunlight, so the water evaporated. After waiting two days for the water to evaporate, we observed the salt remaining in the petri dish. The salt had formed square-shaped crystals with X shapes in the center. Overall, I think we did well in our experiment.
